If you are mobilised you are at risk of being rushed or shot. To reduce this risk, while practicing your 2nd amendment rights I'd sit down or cuff myself to something.
You can protest perfectly well sat still with nothing on you to be considered a weapon. That way if you are killed or assaulted there's no way the blame can be put on you.
