'Saadallah was on the radar of MI5 in the middle of last year, sources said, when he was briefly placed under investigation as a person who might travel abroad “for extremist reasons”. The inquiry was closed relatively quickly without any action being taken, as no genuine threat or immediate risk was identified.' To me this suggests he may be vulnerable to suggestion or radicalisation due to his mental health issues, nothing more.

In the middle of last year, MI5 had Saadallah under investigation as a person who might travel to Libya “for extremist reasons”. That claim was found to lack credibility and he was assessed as being far from the legal threshold for investigation.' Where in there says the guy had links? What links can you show me?

No thats not a link, a link is evidence with a basis. The claim had no credibility... should there have been a link that would have given said claim some credibility.

It does seem this man had many mental health problems, and im sure more information will surface in the coming days. But people can't be blamed for being sceptical when similar attacks are regularly at the hands of IS extremists in the UK. Last edited by Swan; 24-06-2020 at 01:21 AM. |

Why is there always a conversation about whether he was a terrorist, when MI5 considered him a person of interest?
Seems like a redundant discussion. |

Oh no, I'm English

I'm not a lawyer, but wouldn't it be because being a suspect in a crime is not the same as a guilty verdict?
