Alyssa is a messy lipsyncer tbh, I just don't understand her appeal at all. Definitely a talented dancer but has absolutely no idea how to channel a song. And you can't say Monet has "the same one or two moves" (she doesn't) and then name Kameron Michaels who did the same split in 3 lipsyncs in a row even the producers accidentally threw shade at her for that, putting them side-by-side when calling her a lipsync assassin during the top 4 deliberations. I think AS4 proved that Latrice isn't capable of shining during a high-tempo song either.

I suppose it's hard to quantify an assassin when we're really basing it on their show performances. Queens have come back for All Stars and given surprising lipsync performances we wouldn't have thought them capable of; Dela SUCKED at her S5 lipsyncs against Darienne and then brought it for Anaconda vs. Aja and Nobody's Supposed to Be Here vs. Bebe. Tatianna had very blah showings in her S2 lipsyncs vs Jessica Wild and Jujubee, but then did That vs Alyssa in AS2. Shea didn't really do anything right in either of her S9 lipsyncs but did great on Neutron Dance and Open Your Heart.

But like you say, these were examples where they were fighting for something - Tatianna to get back in the competition, Shea to redeem her lipsyncing abilities, and Dela to win the lipsync and send herself home on her own terms, so yeah the Assassins need a chance to win the money.
