I think you are very lucky to get her back...and Im glad you did. Theses people are not nice people to deal with by experience. So keep safe and keep your dog safe because they know where you live..
Its a shame we feel so threatened by them...and they get away with this stuff. As you have experienced...even the police dont want to get involved..

The sad thing is around where I live they honestly are, as I said before I know it's not all but where I live people are scared of them and they know it and know the police are too and they take full advantage of it.

I know how lucky I was, thankfully Cherry is a barker around strangers, it's friendly but she likes to be heard so I have no doubt they had her in the van and she'll have been barking so they tied her up outside to shut her up basically or I'd have never seen her again

AJ, I'm SO glad you got your dog back. We've had dogs go missing in my area. In my nearest village an elderly couple had their ten year old yellow lab stolen from then front garden. Travellers use them as bait dogs. It's hard to think of someone's elderly pet facing such a horrible death... but it's widespread amongst the travelling community. As is hare coursing. As it nicking stuff from people's sheds. As is a myriad of other crimes to which the police turn a blind eye.

Yes it is true Livia they have some horrible practices, but none of the above are the sole premise of Travellers and there are some travellers who do not follow these practices

if this was said about certain other groups the outrage would be real, you know that more than most Livia! TiBB never fails to disappoint in it's cherry picking of what is acceptable to generalise about

I realise that... My mate Ash is from traveller stock. I remember him telling me at length how it's really okay to use the N word, how it was just a colour, how it's not really meant as an insult. And I said, does that go the same for for word Pikeys? He said YOU CAN'T SAY THAT! lol....
