[Coronavirus: Only one in 10 to be protected
from COVID-19 in first year of vaccine use Analysis of global manufacturing capacity shows just two billion doses could be made in 2021 despite being given the green light.] [It needs several supply chains to converge seamlessly, with the final product meeting high quality standards. Any hiccup can cause delays.] https://news.sky.com/story/coronavir...e-use-12072473 One in 10? that will upset many that need this new Vaccine. Last edited by arista; 20-09-2020 at 03:13 AM. |

That's my question too. His procrastination has been the partial cause of confusion and dismay. It presents a carefree and not really serious attitude to the very serious issue. REALLY he shouldn't have stopped entirely the briefings. They should have continued even to just twice a week. To keep updating on arising matters to the pandemic. For all of Boris’s failings .. I just think he’s been dealt a very poor hand
For one thing , I can’t think of one country / government worldwide who has coped well with this pandemic so maybe it’s unfair to expect our country ( crammed to the hilt/ overpopulated) to have fared any better .. Now on top of that Boris contracted the virus AND was very poorly with it ( he’s clearly still not close to a full recovery either ) then factor into the equation he’s also coping with the birth of a child ( first) . For all those clambering for Starmer to be given a chance ... Starmer was on Sophie Ridge this morning ... He said the priority for testing HAS to be children .. Sophie quickly said .. “ but Jonathan Ashworth says the priority has to be NHS staff and Liz Kendal says care homes has to be the priority and now you say children should be the priority... we live in the real world so what IS the priority?’ Starmer’s inspired response ?? “ Yes , those with symptoms, NHS staff , care homes ... and children- have to be he priorities! “ Pure Monty Python !!! Just read an article that despite Bolton having the highest number of new infections in the country but there are only 2 patients in the trust hospitals. I hope that is a sign that people are protecting themselves if they are at risk if being seriously ill with the virus.

That's obviously the sign of an open and honest government that welcomes transparency.
