...Nicky is on the autism spectrum, I think he’d be fine with me saying that because he’s openly said it so many times, himself...and it’s a huge spectrum which can have so many different things that can be displayed...one of those things...?..for some...?...is that impulse, type thing ...to just ‘blurt out’ without any thought, like an uncontrolled bursting out but it’s with no type of malice at all because it’s part of who he is and his disorder...and it can appear as quite rude or dismissive or offensive or whatever, I know....but it really isn’t how it’s meant because autism doesn’t always recognise things like tact or rudeness or remorse etc and many things, in the same way that people who don’t have autism ....I gave him a ‘gentle slap’ for fun, because he really would have meant no harm at all....
