Now in general terms I've made a bit of a u turn and embraced mask wearing but I've just come into my local pub, I've got to wear a mask on entering but then not once seated. So I've worn it for 30 seconds in here, and will now not be wearing it in here for the next 2 hours until I have to put it on again for 30 seconds to leave

What is the point of this

Is your mum on her own? If so if you're under the same rules that we are she can be classed as part of a support bubble with you and therefore classed as the same household so you can go to her house and she can come to yours. It only applies to single people or single parents with children under 18. I was in the same position with my dad but we are able to carry on as normal with him as he lives alone.

Ah right... t's me and my son (22) at home and we both work. My sister orders her some stuff with her order but she lives an hour away and only comes once a week I live 5 doors away from mum. I sit in her porch with the patio doors closed atm if I pop in and use an antibacterial spray in the air as I leave. I did her shopping today, just don't know what to do for the best

.....this was updated just a few days ago, Kizzy....

You do not need to socially distance from anyone in your household, meaning the people you live with. You also do not need to socially distance from someone you’re in an established relationship with, or anyone in your legally-permitted support bubble if you are in one.

It may not always be possible or practicable to maintain social distancing when providing care to a young child, or person with a disability or health condition. You should still limit close contact as much as possible when providing these types of care, and take other precautions such as washing hands and opening windows for ventilation

....here’s the link to read through the whole thing if you need to...it should be ok to carry on as you have been doing, I hope that your mum is doing ok with it all...

Mayor of Eindhoven (my city) Jorritsma wants a MUST to wear face masks

he will go into a meeting with OMT, RIVM on monday about this

first of the local mayors who wants this

he does not want it for ''medical reasons'' but more group aspect he said, more in a way of together we can fight corona, and right now not everyone wants to wear face mask as it isn't a requirement

That’s tough Kizzy, I would carry on seeing your Mum, she is vulnerable and needs to have company, when you visit wear a mask and keep your distance as much as is practical is what I would advise

Kizzy I'm sure if you help out an elderly relative then you/they are exempt from the no entering other peoples house rule, at least that's how it is here
