As for Nancy Pelosi outing Trump, we all know it wont happen. Though the way things are going his White House exit is only around the corner.

I didn't question the democracy regarding the 25th amendment, just the questionable democratic beliefs of many people. It's all good and well saying you're for (not you, in general) democracy, but then throwing a fit when things don't go the way you think they should isn't how democracy works.

Quand il pleut, il pleut
|
...for me, I wouldn’t just feel that ‘Democracy’ was the person who was elected to serve in the voice/interest/ power of the people etc..but that they are being those things through their time of office and service...?...to democratically elect a president and then to ‘stick with them, no matter what‘ even if it’s felt that their leadership was detrimental to their country, but they’re president so that’s that of that...surely wouldn’t be democratic because ‘interest and power of the people and the country‘ must surely be a huge factor in putting the Democratic into a country election system and it is the only priority...
...I do though, completely understand Swan’s thought process..(..or as I understand what he means, anyway..)...if it’s being said that ‘the people’ elect...(...although we all know it was Putin... ..)...then other officials, also serving the people can’t un-elect, otherwise it doesn’t serve democracy...?...which also has truth, I guess if other things/factors and reasons are isolated... if a leader was perceived to be ‘unfit’...then there wouldn’t be any practicality of feasibility of a ‘public voting’ to remove that leader immediately if that was felt to be something that had to happen right now, type thing...It is an interesting thing that he’s posed, though ...because to remove a leader from office, if that’s what Nancy is suggesting...?..wouldn’t that also be kind of considered a ‘coup ’.....

i think with Biden ahead in the polls it's a very risky move if Nancy goes ahead with it

Biden is doing well in the polls, she is potentially interfering and could shift undecided voters toward trump ... it's a very risky thing messing with the dynamics at this point when your own side is doing well

Remembering Kerry
|
I don't know about him having a mental illness.
What he is, which is a bad thing in any leader in my view, is he is dangerously deluded. I'm not sure this intervention from Nancy Pelosi will just not lead to feed his delusions and help him fuel his, they're all out to get him with fake news and fear tactics. |

Like Ammi said, it's one thing to say 1/2 years into a 4 year term 'okay this isn't working out, things are worse' then voicing your opinion. It's another however to just straight up refuse to accept a democratic voting process where the person who won the most votes wins (here anyway, i know the US isn't as simple as that). Democracy works both ways, we are free to vote for whoever we like, and not vote for who we don't. The December elections, Brexit, people voted, the most votes won, democracy right there. Yet people who voted in another direction refuse to accept, right or wrong, that's the opposite of democracy.

Causing havoc and disrupting innocent lives just because an election/vote didn't go the way you think it should is another thing entirely though.

He handled it poorly, he still is. But to blame him for every single covid death is ridiculous. You look to a leader to lead, of course, but we see it every day, people not taking precautions, gathering with other people, not wearing masks, going on holidays. You can put blame on Trump, Johnson and any other leader out there, but at the end of day a lot of the covid deaths could probably have been avoided. Sometimes common sense wins!
