The only right thing to do was carry on doing what was being done for a few extra weeks.

Any decent government,no matter its make up would and should have wanted to do that anyway.

What speaks volumes are those who would want to make political points, as you say this is Con v Lab, by deliberately voting against adding a few extra weeks to this scheme, ordering it to be voted down.

If charities have to take on much more with NO further aid from those in power, then charities will be broken too.
