They'll be people there for all different sorts of reasons. I expect some have been stopped from earning a living, and are worried about how they can keep a roof over their heads and food in their bellies.

I think the general theme was freedom though, that sounded like their main message.

I understand the point of view of business, my take is if people were less selfish and actually followed the guidelines businesses would be open, unfortunately alot of people think the rules apply to someone else, they might wear a mask to the shop but are mixing indoors, personally I don’t think lockdowns work because as soon as we come out infection rise again ..Wales seeing that at the moment, and I also think infection is not spread in most bars/restaurants as most follow the covid guidelines, but given we appear to be so close to a vaccine I think protesting has become a bit pointless and just sets us back at this stage

I'll give you two questions, you only need to answer one of them, which question you answer is up to you. You can answer both if you like and of course, you don't have to answer any.

1. If the lockdown worked the first time, then why did we have another?

2. If the lockdown didn't work the first time, then why did we have another?

lockdown did work the first time imo, hospital admissions fell, death rates fell and infections fell, as they are now the R is under 1 in England, problem is many people think when lockdown ends so does social distancing, I am not a fan of lockdown,I think people need to take more responsibility for their own health and those around them, but given it’s been proven people can’t then it seems the only way to keep some beds free in iCU
