Is this dying Big Brother forum even engaging enough to have that problem?

Remembering Kerry

I can only obviously speak for myself.
I'd say no. I'm on here more lately but then I have more time right now and come on for small periods of time. So I'd say no, for me anyway, since while I'm on here, I wouldn't likely be doing anything else. |

I did answer. I don’t find TiBB an engaging environment to be. As a Big Brother forum with no Big Brother its pretty much a small group of decent people against a number of racists.

But they keep going, for the people who appreciate the place.. I'm assuming you would call them all names by your attitude tonight.. it's very uncaring towards the bame community branding people so easily and without a thought to the pain it may cause them So I don't apologise for asking you to shut up anymore, cause you dont deserve it. |

I used to be on far too much it was a bit of a crutch for a bit and I'm really thankful for that. TIBB got me through a really tough time, it wasn't always fun it could be really frustrating but it got me over a really rough patch in my life.
Then I had a break, then I came back and now I duck in and out when I can

Nah

I've always been a "time to time" poster, even though I was there on a regular basis until 2009/2010 I would say. It didn't take much of my time nor was it addicting.
If anything I took it as another hobby where I would talk to people about a TV show I liked. I took a long break then came back and post a few times a week I suppose. Nothing outstanding nor isolating.

I don’t think there is enough going on TiBB to make it addictive, following peoples every move on Twitter and Insta would fall into that category though

Me and my wife did once have a pretty bad argument because we were meant to be on a nice family day out but I was in the midst of a particularly nasty TiBB debate and every time she turned round I was sneaking my nose into my phone to argue the toss
. Ironically enough... To be more specific... It was the time I was calling Niamh and Vicky TERFs and in hindsight I was massively off base. Heh. ![]() But nah in general I agree the forum isn't fast moving enough to be a problem, which is what I like about it really, you don't "miss much" even if you can't get on all day. I also agree with Kizzy - I went through a pretty rough patch a few years ago and TiBB was a very welcome distraction. Its also literally my first source for a lot of current events ... It's a good filter that way. If something is "big" or even "big-ish" there will promptly be a SD thread about it. Honestly every time my wife is like "Oh did you hear about [X]" I'm like "yup" because it's already been on here .

Being serious though I still enjoy TIBB, but it's not something that I'm on 24/7 to be classed as an addiction for me.
I definitely think that people get addicted to Twitter/Facebook and Youtube though.

Quand il pleut, il pleut

...just following on from TS, there was this one time...
...it was a pub quiz and I was spending far too much time logged on, as we do in quiz times...and if I recall, it was Valentine’s Day ...(...or some specific occasion...)...and I was very late for my Ammiman date and then all through the date...in my head, I was thinking...ughhh, I so know that movie/TV series/song/whatever it was and it was so preoccupying my thoughts....and another time that I had a huge rant at Shaun because he did a game task on a game in the hours that I work...so I wasn’t able to take part so much...and of course, he was purposefully trying to sabotage me because he was annoying and evil...

...it could be quite addictive being in a big debate during BB times, though....
