What about the people that are blatantly and repeatedly ignoring guidelines with no thoughts about anyone else it affects and causing it to spread? Are you laying any blame at them at all?

That applies to the MP’s as well that have been flouting the rules tbh. If members of parliament aren’t going to listen to the rules that have been set in place, the general public aren’t going to follow suit.

It applies to anyone breaking the rules, that much is obvious...

However the government have set out guidelines that people are happily and proudly announcing that they are ignoring then harsher guidelines have to be brought in and 'boom' it's all the government's fault.

exactly, if people followed the flipping guidelines in the first place, the government wouldn't need to do anything

It mostly is though if they acted sooner rather than later we might not have been in this mess. If they actually CLOSED the ****ing schools where most of the spread came from then things could be different.

tier 4 rules are basically stay at home and then telling people they are allowed to meet one person out side. Lockdown should mean lockdown.

Because a lot of there actions in some ways aren’t making sense. They’re happily screwing up the hospitality sector forcing them to close because of cases rising and at the same time, sending hundreds of kids back to school all mixing? It doesn’t make sense. I agree it’s our duty to listen and follow the rules that are put in place but a lot of them are not making that much sense in my opinion.

So if a minister threw himself off a bridge ,would you do the same knowing it had dire conseqences, its just a lame excuse imo for people thinking its ok to do as they want.

the anti-maskers they think it takes away all of their freedom etc so those sort of people will never really listen

so its best we know they are there, and we do our best to shield elderly and vulnerable, its something what Bots said too earlier few months ago, but that would be a better option

those anti-maskers well, if they want to ignore guidelines and risk getting sick it will be all their fault, but we can protect elderly and vulnerable and that should be our no.1 priority now

It's not just the rule breakers fault

Why is it so hard for you to blame the gov as well when evidently they have ****ed up themselves?

It’s not a legal requirement to jump off a bridge is it. I’m not trying to sound like a smart arse (I mean no disrespect) or anything like that so I don’t mean for it to come across as that way but, if the government are issuing rules and guidelines and their own Mp’s are still choosing to break them, then a lot of responsibility still falls on their shoulders (imo of course).

The Scottish and Welsh administrations are basically taking the same action now as is being applied in England, both having signed up previously to the Christmas relaxation, so it's a bit rich to blame Boris
