Poor Tokyo, one of my favourite cities in the world.

I would love to be in Asakusa right now, have a walk around, im sure the weather is cold but stunning blue skies.

oh i'm sure they have alternate ideas, they just said the ''cancelling'' was fake news

maybe they can do show audiences with computer, for tv viewers (some football competitions already do this, in spain for example)

or virtual audience, with tv screens

as for the athletes they can all go into their ''bubbles'' maybe lesser technical staff delegation if necessary

but now covid-19 is no longer a surprise for all of us, so we can think of alternate scenario's to make it happen

i am talking European football championship, Eurovision, Olympics they can all go through under right alternate scenario, careful usage of bubbles, quick testing

no necessary need for vaccinations either as long as testing is thorough, and quarantaining is thorough, for the needed 2 weeks

no need to cancel/postpone things twice in a row

Me too! I have severe Japan nostalgia especially in winter. I don't mind the cold weather because everything else is so stunning!

Yes Winter is perfect for a trip to Japan.
So much to do; from the clear views of Fuji. Visiting the immaculate temples of Kyoto in the crisp air. Taking the bullet train up to Sapporo for a winter wonderland.
Lets hope for Winter 2022 because I have so much more to explore on the islands.
