Just some perspective. No president impeached has subsequently been convicted in the senate. The reason for that is because it is a political process with the majority voting along party lines. Trump was never going to be convicted, that's why i didn't watch a moment of the trial, there was no point.

Similarly, the general public had already made up their minds and wouldn't be swayed by the trial. The real test will come when Trump is tried in criminal and civil court
