I think we’ve seen the end of long delays between cinema and home release now though, it won’t be cinema > several month wait > home release any more, it’ll be cinema > premium rental at home > general home release.

Overall a good thing I think. More consumer choice, less waiting around for people who can’t get to the cinema easily. For my sister for example (an island-dweller) it’s a drive, a boat, then a train just to get to the nearest cinema .
