It depends on your end goal really. Lighting heavy weights isn’t the first step to keep weight off anyway.
And during lockdown I filled a lot of bottle waters and tied them together to lift some weight Creativity is key.

I personally do, so that’s not completely true. Lifting weights is a good form of exercise which can be done to both bulk and cut down

Weights are used for improving the strength and size of muscles which in turn will steal make you put weight on but it will be a more healthier weight

Lifting weights is fantastic for weight loss.

Yes a lot use it for bulking up by combining it with high protein diets etc but lots do it solely for losing weight too

Not at all true, as josy said weights are great for weight loss also, I have seen fantastic results myself. Not sure where you are getting your one shoe fits all approach from

If you lift weights on a non calorie restricted diet you’ll gain muscle but not lose fat, however the more muscle you have the more calories you burn just existing doing literally nothing.

If you lift weights on a calorie deficit you won’t gain much muscle mass but you will lose fat, because you’re on a calorie deficit. You’ll lose even more if you carb cycle and exercise on low carb days.

There literally is no better way to lose weight than to gain muscle.

You won’t lose much weight at all doing light to medium cardio because cardio uses sugars and other carbs up first, so to lose weight from cardio you need to be doing quite heavy cardio to do it through pure calorie deficit (you need to run for quite a long time to burn a significant number) OR you need to also be on a calorie restricted diet of like under 1500 which frankly is a ****ing miserable way to live

Body weight exercises can actually be really effective alternative to a gym if you do them right. Most people are not going to be lifting heavier than their own body weight.

Also don’t take the advice of lifting super heavy without building up to it, you’ll DEFINITELY tear something or **** up a tendon and then you won’t be doing any exercise at all for a while.
