The point you know you're missing, is that they were brought in to write this report because they'd been saying the same things in newspapers for years beforehand. No serious academic study would do that, especially when others who were supposed to be involved were marginalised and used as fronts.

They sent around 3,200 fake job applications for both manual and non-manual jobs - including chefs, shop assistants, accountants and software engineers - in response to adverts on a popular recruitment site between November 2016 and December 2017.

Do it was a set up, with the aim to find racism at any cost, and would you believe it, they just happened to find what they were looking for.
