You were right Dr many of them do apply here.

You cant ask someone about their plans for children etc in an interview in this country.

You cant ask their age because of possible discrimination

Its a tricky business and a good idea that people know what employers should and should not ask them, great thread Supernoodles.

Edited: Found this nice little quote on a quick search

As a general rule (particularly in the UK and North America), questions concerning marital status, sexual preferences, ethnic origin, health status or family plans aren't allowed.
