What attracted me to Italy's entry, and I wanted France myself with the more like Edith Piaf performance.

Italy's was like a bridge across all the styles of the songs and was different enough to stand out.
Really well performed too..
So for me a deserved win.

Italy was a dreadful oh look how ironic and 70s we are and how we are oh so aggressive and shouty as its "heavy metal" tired cliche

From the video, honestly, I am fairly certain he's snorting something. I don't really care all that much, though.

In general I agree with Nicky about the music though - I'm not a fan of the band and I do like rock/metal. Finland was very poppy but it's decent for what it is... Italy I just found to be extremely derivative. It sounded like RHCP, Led Zep, White Stripes, even a bit of RATM, all kind of balled up and served bland with no sauce.

I'd add that it would have been 10x better if they'd replaced the weak bass with a heavier low-tuned guitar riff but I think they wanted to keep it softer for the mass audience appeal. Go hard or go home guys.

It's not any sort of metal, it's cookie-cutter rock. And Finland was pop metal/nu-metal. Graham referring to both as "heavy metal" made him sound about 90 .

Most tests only detect cocaine in the system for a maximum of 3 days, you could come back negative after 12 hours even.

Actually I've seen a higher res zoomed-in video and on balance, I don't think he is doing anything, or at the very least, there's enough doubt there to make the accusation very flimsy. Thinking about it logically, they'd have to be extremely stupid to be sat doing drugs AT THE TABLE in full view, and would surely be more discreet?

There is so much prejudice about rock bands.
Just because of their look, some people assume that they're drug addicts.
Maneskin are actually really nice and a fantastic band.
I would love to see them play live.
