I'm a snob so I don't eat anything from a tin

Apart from ingredients like chopped tomatoes when I'm cooking or whatever.

I mean... I think you've got this arse-backwards personally . A bit of cupboard filth is great when you're looking for a quick lunch so I see nothing wrong with a tin of Heinz [whatever] BUT if you are going to the effort to cook... you should try getting in some good quality vine tomatoes and chopping them yourself rather than using tinned chopped tomatoes. The difference is honestly massive. Bolognese or lasagne or whatever made with freshly chopped tomatoes is on another level to tinned.

I do like but I agree I'd have to add cheese. Same with beans. Beans with no cheese is the worst

I think they changed the recipe in the last 2-3 years because it changed taste i am sure of it. Can of that and 2 slices of toast for lunch

been eating it longer than 90% of tibb members have been alive

always have a can in the cupboard

I hate most tinned pasta...particularly baked beans

My one exception is spaghetti hoops. When we used to go clubbing...I used to pick my friend up and her mum always used to say we had to habe something to "line our stomachs" and so made us spaghetti hoops with cheese on top on top on toast...every week. Considering the amount of appetite suppressing chemicals we consumed when at the club....for days after, that stomach lining nourished us

I’d guess at there being lower sugar (and maybe salt) content in most tinned stuff these days. You also get the “reduced sugar and salt” varieties but I reckon the normal ones are a bit less sweet as standard.
