RE the mask wearing apparently Wales has a higher infection rate than England so it’s hard to know why it’s being pushed so hard...still wear my mask though

yeah Scotland still has mandatory masks and there is no difference there that i can see. The crucial things are social distancing and working from home. If you are at home, you can't catch covid, it's pretty obvious

the infections are pretty accurate throughout the week. The deaths arent reported given the councils are shut over the weekend

the nhs isn't anywhere close to being under pressure from covid, other things, yes. The criteria for going to plan b was always if the nhs couldn't cope and we are not there yet. As usual people are changing the goalposts

the deaths and hospitalisations are near enough the same as last october, but last october we had loads of restrictions and now we dont. So we are in a much better position than we were last year. Some people just want restrictions, but being realistic, the public just won't do it again, not unless the death rate starts to rocket. There is just no reason to do it yet
