I was in Aldi earlier and i decided to do a mask count.

Percentage of people wearing masks: 100

1 lady was not but had a NHS lanyard

Pubs i passed on way to Hampden Sunday (3 all rammed out the door, no space people standing shoulder to shoulder) percentage wearing masks: 1

Train to the ground was 50% - most not wearing were wiring into vodka or Buckfast

Funny how the numbers go up during the usual flu season isn't it? It's like Covid enjoys it's holidays at the same time of year as we people do, and then it gets back to work in the Autumn and Winter.

Its because its transmits more easily in warm conditions when people turn the heating on, close the windows and mix more indoors. Like all the other coronaviruses. Nothing new really....its now cold, flu and covid season

There is a huge difference north and south of the border for some reason, I was also in a Tesco yesterday and didn’t see anyone without a mask on.

Interestingly though, the reusable/fabric masks seem to have gone “out of fashion” and I now mostly see people wearing the blue NHS style disposable ones.

That's because you're living in fear of the National Socialist party that's running things down there. You don't want to get on the wrong side of Wee Jimmy.

isn't the law still in scotland to wear face coverings, where in england, apart from the tube, it's up to individuals

What is Mark Rutte's response to attacking citizens with the intent of injuring or killing them?

Is there a need for this when a person is on the ground?

At least the dog knows right from wrong and doesn't attack even though the Policeman is trying to make it do so.

Yes Alf
there will always be illegal mask makers.

But they do not go to M&S.

I mean yes and no, technically they are legally mandatory but one of the exemptions is just "finding it distressing", so any anti-masker can just say that they find it distressing (which they probably do). No proof beyond that is required for exemption so it's a toothless law. Really the reason for it being in place is to enforce businesses continuing to strongly encourage mask use instead of being able to say "come on in, we're not bothered about it here".

Most likely just hit a nerve, small chance of that happening. Just hope they didn't accidentally pop it in a vein instead of the muscle.

Mine's booked for December and I'm now wondering if I double-booked with physio . Goshdarnitt. Getting pretty sick of medical-type-places, I'm only 36 this wasn't meant to happen until I was like 60 .

I had my vaccine in a little village, i thought i would be about the only one there ... but they had like 8 people directing the traffic to parking bays and then inside it was like a weird surreal experience ... wait in this area ... get your jab ... wait in another area to see if you fall over ... and then directed back on to the road

Yeah we used a local chemist .. they’d sectioned off a little area where they did the injections then as we walked out the front door a bloke ushered us around the side of the store .. around another corner then we had to sit in a decent sized garden shed ( sign 8 chairs ) for 15 minutes !

A real-world study by the UK Health Security Agency shows that boosters significantly increase protection against illness from Covid-19. The study found that two weeks after a booster dose, protection levels increased to 93.1% for those who had AstraZeneca for their first two doses and 94% for those who had Pfizer.

In October 2021 Pfizer announced results from phase 3 clinical trials of their vaccine as a booster, showing that it was extremely effective against preventing illness from Covid-19.

In the 5,000 people who received the booster dose, 5 of them developed Covid-19 illness. In the 5,000 people who didn’t get the booster (but were double vaccinated) there were 109 cases of Covid-19

"Covid-19 is no longer a disease of the vaccinated, the head of the Oxford
jab programme has said.

The “ongoing horror” of patients gasping for breath in hospital is now “largely
restricted” to people who are unvaccinated, according to Prof Sir Andrew
Pollard.

Even though the more transmissible Delta variant continues to infect
thousands, most of those who are fully vaccinated will experience only “mild
infections” that are “little more than an unpleasant inconvenience”.
