Hopefully we can get this variant under control.

Headlines are another "take your medicine, Peasants" push.

Sorry, but the people are gonna ride this one out, they're waiting for you to show your hand and true colours and waiting for you to force medical injections on free people. The facists/communists will be exposed.

Has there been a single reported death from Omicron across the world yet? Isn't that the question that needs asking

If it's highly infectious and it beats the vaccine like we are being told, shouldn't people be dying in their hundreds?

The Dictator of New Zealand is feeling kind for once to her peasants and gives her permission to them to share a house with friends and even use the same bog. Isn't she just the sweetest.

All older adults, (perhaps some may call them the boomers) are wearing their masks on the bus as instructed. Only 5 percent of under 25s are following suit...

I mean I do have to admit, “PM gives citizens permission to use bathroom inside friends homes” is quite an unfathomable sentence if you go back 2 years. Not even just dystopian… like a parody of something dystopian.

How would a fiction author write a future dystopia if they were writing a novel now? The truth seems too far fetched.

I mean the sad reality of that is that older adults are at tangible risk from Covid whereas 25 year olds, realistically, are not. It’s a mild illness in the VAST majority. And people are selfish.

Interestingly, quite a few rolls I know have had Covid recently. Two workmates had it a couple of months ago (both are fine but have ongoing sense of smell issues), a friend’s dad just tested positive, and another friend of mine has just come out of a 10 day Covid isolation. He’s type 1 diabetic but his symptoms were very mild - one day feeling a bit rough, the following day tired, then completely fine. Was working from home from his spare room. Could be purely down to chance, or… could be that there’s some truth in the idea that there’s a milder strain going around now? He said it was barely a sniffle and literally less than 48h, and that’s with an underlying condition and not THAT young (he’s my age, so not ancient, but certainly not a teenager).

it comes down to enforcement. A law is meaningless if it can't be enforced. If you remember back to us last year ... you can have n people at dinner maximum, including children. Unenforceable. In cyprus, they have drink driving laws, but the police help staggering drunks into their cars at closing time.

Having a law where you can't use the bathroom in a friends home is just beyond stupid

All of these things, including masks, should always be guidance because you are never going to force those who don't want to comply to obey

my brother is still not 100% after several weeks, but he never had symptoms other than feeling rough. I heard of 8 people getting it in 1 week after not hearing about any in months and none ended up seriously unwell. I said a few pages ago that i thought a new variant was doing the rounds and everyone went yeah right bots

Your leader is a bit of a fibber, Nicky. He also likes to use the "it's a conspiracy theory" tactic to shut down debate.

We're currently in what would usually be a flu season, so do you have the flu numbers data, Arista? How do they match up against the numbers of the past 10 years, are there any strange anomalies?

Didn't the flu disappear
this time last year?

Coming back to lockdown and control, dont you think Goverments would be using this new mutant to lock us down again if that was the aim Alf? We have moved forward so much since March 2020 when we couldn't sit on a park bench, as more and more is learned about the virus, doesn't that sound like progress to you or no?

No. Progress will be when they all stand trial for crimes against humanity.

Do you think it's progress for business owners who are gonna lose so much that they go out of business because people will just not shop in their shops at the busiest time of the year?

Amazon will be rubbing their hands with £ signs in their eyes, while the little people will be on the way to the gutter. But who cares as long as you're under the illusion that the government is keeping you safe?

Hyperbole aside, the pandemic has been a gift for the fatcats, at the expense of smaller businesses...

Millions think that the whole Covid thing is hyperbole. They think just like you do.
