Thumbs up Liz says it straight from her hip

Liz Truss says it's 'time to end' questioning of British history and shut down
'ludicrous debates' on people's preferred pronouns at Tory conference

  • Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said it was 'time to end' the so-called culture wars
  • Said UK's response to Ukraine war showed it was time to restore Britain's values
  • Ms Truss, who is also the Government's equalities minister, was speaking at Tory Party's spring conference in Blackpool
  • View was echoed by Boris Johnson speech where he said: 'We don't need to be woke, we just want to be free'

The comments come after Brexit minister Jacob Rees-Mogg, during an
appearance at the resort conference on Friday, said it was time to 'get away
from the wokery that has beset huge sections of society'.
