It's all part of the same thing though Alf, the people you''re describing are particularly vulnerable to being taken in by these violent/extreme online groups and ideologies. Frustrated young people from broken homes, lacking in role models, easily taken under the wing of "big bro"-type figures who will validate their feelings of anger and frustration at the world and nudge them towards channeling it in more specific ways. Nihilism. Blackpilling. Male power fantasies/violence/rape/murder.
This used to be niche/mainly confined to places like Reddit but now it is absolutely ****ing
everywhere. All over mainstream social media like Twitter and TikTok, really snowballing in the last few months.
