Much like how addicts often describe heroin addiction I guess; "chasing the dragon"... no high is ever quite like that first one, but many will seek it endlessly.

Of course unfortunately for a lot of these young stars they also turn to actual drugs to compensate... which wipes them out even more physically.

What Bieber has is a post-viral syndrome... those often affect people when they're been wiped out before they had a virus, or didn't give themselves enough time to recover. I don't think it's surprising that Bieber has been affected by something like that... as you say Parmy... just look at him. Compare it to the kid who first came onto the scene years back. Fame has quite clearly ripped Justin Bieber to shreds, physically and mentally... as it has countless people who started out very young.

It's very notable that the most well-adjusted celebrities are usually the ones who didn't hit the "big leagues" until later (30's and beyond).
There's huge control.

I'm not so sure they're chasing a high again. Maybe wondering why they wanted it so much to start with and that it's like nothing they thought it would be.

I think drugs is part and parcel of living that lifestyle, who you're hanging around with and a way to cope with fame because it must be so overwhelming. Some have stronger mentalities than others.

So many want to famous and just see the good side of fame, not realising that there's a lot of people who are pulling your strings. Not being able to do 'normal' stuff, constantly being mobbed, security telling you that you can't do something etc

In regards to his music, I think Justin Bieber has matured massively and releases some very good hits now
