Well for what it’s worth I am also on the spectrum and Nicky grinds my gears more often than not ...

I have him on IGNORE currently as it just makes life easier for me when I’m perusing the threads

He just gets on my nerves with his insensitivity that pops up at the randomest times. Asperger’s (or wherever he is on the “spectrum”) or not he needs to learn to not say inappropriate things whenever he feels like it. Most “Aspies” (not because I’m really big/non-skeptical about the concept of ASD) I know wouldn’t dream of saying the things Nicky’s said in this thread or half the stuff he says in general. They don’t use it as an excuse to be racist, either.

Like everyone else you just have personal experience, you don't know where Nicky is on the spectrum, nor is it any of our business

I do hear what you’re saying but Nicky makes it pretty difficult to not get seriously annoyed with him when he comes out with the stuff he comes out with. If he doesn’t have the social awareness to know when to just leave it he shouldn’t be using forums other than wrongplanet.com. But deep down I do think he knows what he’s doing when it comes to some of the stuff he says.

It’s not like she was 8 (she was in high school). But more importantly an innocent girl died tragically so when it comes to appropriate response the fact that she was in town past a certain time is irrelevant. I don’t know why you keep using this story to emphasise how important it is that 12/14-year-olds don’t go out in the dark at all.
