Default 2022/23 TIBB Championship Prediction League.

A first for TIBB (as far as I'm aware) we will be having a showdown for who has the best Championship knowledge for the 2022/23 Season.

Basically the rules work extremely similar to the Premier League Prediction League, where you get 5 points for the correct scoreline and 2 points for the correct team but wrong scoreline, and 0 points if you call the game wrong entirely.

Also you will get 10 bonus points if you call which team wins the Championship title at the end of the season.

For me I'm gonna guess that Norwich will win the League this season.

Mystic Mock - Norwich
Cherie - Norwich
Nicky91 - Middlesbrough
Joeysteele - Burnley
Parmnion - Millwall
Calderyon - Norwich
Rufus - Norwich

A tie on points at the top by the end of the season would be decided by whoever had more 5 point predictions throughout the season.

And you can either do the Calderyon route of doing the entire season's worth of predictions straight away, or do your predictions every week, it's entirely up to you.

Now for me I'm gonna do the Calderyon path.

am going to give this a try as well

Friday 29th July
Huddersfield 0-1 Burnley

Saturday 30th July
Blackburn 2-2 QPR
Blackpool 0-1 Reading
Cardiff 1-1 Norwich
Hull 3-0 Bristol City
Luton 1-1 Birmingham
Millwall 2-1 Stoke
Rotherham 0-2 Swansea
Wigan 3-1 Preston
Middlesbrough 2-1 West Brom

come on Millwall, hope you guys have a good season, with our ace Flemming

i'm saying top3 prediction for league

1. Middlesbrough (for obvious reasons i always have them as a championship contender because i find them on paper good enough for premier league and i desperately want them back top level)
2. Millwall (wishful thinking maybe but they made a fab signing in Zian Flemming, our top player from last season at Fortuna, whom basically prevented relegation play off football for us by proper defending for a midfielder)
3. Cardiff

I'll do this.

I think I'll go for Burnley to win the title this season.

We're just a couple of weeks away from the new season starting now.

And thanks to everyone that has chosen to participate so far, hopefully you'll enjoy the game.

In order to do this i need to find an easily copyable and clean fixture list.

Otherwise it's not going to necessarily happen.

Fair enough.

Tbh I just used BBC Sport to get the fixture list.

I could do this weekly basis instead, since i do (and already have) the PL one as a one full list.

Championship is a bit of a mystery to me teams strength comparison wise anyway (with the exception of a few teams), so i could do with some adapting.

The Huddersfield vs Burnley game will be happening tonight.

Just a reminder for any players that want to take part.

I don’t normally bother with anything other than the teams worth watching. .. Liverpool, Arsenal and ManC ( now they’ve got Haaland and discarded Sterling )

But I’ll watch this just to see how Kompany has his team ( brand new team ) playing

Arsenal & Liverpool are very good to watch, I'll agree with you on that.

I'm honestly not much of a Man City person tbh.

And with Kompany I'm expecting him to make some early mistakes, and then improve as the season goes along.

Like you though I am interested to see if he can immediately hit the ground running tonight.

Oddly .. I’m not crazy about watching City normally as it is a bit like ‘painting by numbers’ as they are kinda predictable..

Now they have Haaland that should all change .. I’m looking forward to seeing Grealish on the left , Mahrez on the right both supplying Haaland
