Chelsea want Ajax's Edson Alvarez.

Arsenal want Douglas Luiz.

Chelsea set to agree Aubameyang deal
Chelsea are confident of agreeing a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, reports The Athletic.

The Blues have offered Ł6.5million plus defender Marcos Alonso moving in the opposite direction, while personal terms on a three-year deal have already been agreed.

Aubmeyang is still in Barcelona, could would likely undergo a medical there to speed up the process.

Chelsea agree Aubameyang deal
Chelsea have agreed on a deal to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona on a permanent deal, writes Nizaar Kinsella.

The 33-year-old will cost Ł12million and is included in a swap deal with Marcos Alonso moving in the other direction.

The striker will fly out to London this afternoon to sign and complete his medical, with Alonso travelling from Madrid to Catalonia to complete his move.

Chelsea have long had an agreement over personal terms with the Gabon international set to sign a two-year deal that includes an option for an extra season.

Unfortunately, the former Arsenal captain will have to wait at least three weeks to make his debut due to a broken jaw.

It's not, it's a last minute panic signing because Henderson got injured last night. He's just a cheap body to stop FSGout trending on twitter again. We were dropping points when Elliot was playing last season, we wouldn't have won the league. That's natural for a young players learning curve, but he's not an all time great, and only players on that level can have that kind of impact at his age.

Not a criticism of him, as he'll be a fantastic player, but he's not there yet. It's the failure to upgrade and change the squad over the last few years, that is costing us at the moment.

look at the cash that has been spent this transfer season. It's not possible these days to sit back and say we have a good team. Every team seems to need a refresh across the park on an annual basis. Even small teams are shelling out big bucks on new signings

He definitely had the ability to pick us up at least 1 more win which would have been vital for us.

Im really confused about the whole midfield situation especially when Klopp said we didn't need one but it was confirmed we did bild for Tchouameni, enquired about Laimer and he clearly wants Bellingham next season so we need at least 3 midfielders to come in as Elliot is the only one who will be starting in the next couple of years.

Naby needs to be released, Milner needs to be either released or given a coaching role next summer if he plans to retire and Henderson and Thiago are not getting younger or staying fit which is a shame especially with the quality if Thiago then Jones orobaly needs a PL loan move as he just not working out yet as had been hoped.

Then what do you do with Carvalho? Personally I'd keep him in the front 3 rather then midfield as his attacking threat is brilliant and will only get much stronger when he is fully integrated withthe squad and tactics and on that matter I want to see a lot more of Bajcetic this season especially with the 5 sub rule as he looks like a cracking youth prospect

You're looking at it after we finished the season in need of an extra win, yet we were dropping more points when he played, so it doesn't work out like that.

Klopp has said over the last few days, he'd like more money and to take more risks, so him saying we didn't need a midfielder was more than likely him being the good soldier and covering for FSG after they said no.

I don't think a season in which it looks like we'll be fighting for top 4, is really the scenario to blood youngsters, but Bajcetic does look like a really good prospect.

I said it so many times but FSG time is up, will always be eternally grateful for them but we do need owners who want to and are capable of competing with the other teams in the league financially
