Its a coffin within a coffin. The inner one is made of lead and airtight which is why it is so heavy.

What IF it doesn't reduce in length.

Just the other day you had politicians and authorities stating they expected absolutely innumerable numbers of people coming.
They were even talking of anything from a few hours to up to over 24 hours being in the queue.

Where do the people go who have come to join the queue then told to come back later?
What if the queue doesn't get less, I thought myself as the weekend progressed even more would come and be travelling from all over the Country and other Countries too.

If you head too far off from the end of the queue, then come back, you're likely not going to be in the position you may have had if you'd been able to join it when first arriving.

There could have potentially been millions wanting to queue.
Crikey can we not even organise something like this better.
Unbelievable .

Have they too any firm guarantee the queue will reduce.
I very much doubt they can guarantee that.

What happens then to those there now, told they cannot join this queue.
What a mess this could turn out to be.

Just book a ticket for the cathedral at a later and walk past where she has been laying for the past few days. It will be much the same.

Nobody will have performed the undignified embalming process on our dear queen.

She has 2 coffins to mask the smell. One(the inner one) is made of lead.

She's not in a Cathedral she's lying in state in Westminster Hall.

I just feel really kind of comforted for myself obviously that I went past her lying in state yesterday.
An experience I still find hard to describe as to the occasion.
I actually feel honoured that I've been able to pay my last respects to her, that way I was able to yesterday.

Nothing could be the same as doing that I'm afraid.
Again the only word is, it really 'moved' me.

Do you think it's sort of cleansed you, or closed the final chapter on other things thats happened to you recently?

I hope it has. We are all going to miss the comforting arm she wrapped round the nation at times. She was an extraordinary woman.

You may have a point there actually.
It has left a kind of inner 'peace' feeling parmnion.

So more than likely, yes.

the number of people in the hall at any given time seemed quite sparse yesterday. Today the place is absolutely jammed

Me too.

I've just watched the vigil of the princes with princess anne and her brothers guarding the coffin for 15 minutes. Imagine if you had walked in and saw the king...

I did find Sky splitting the screen to show David Beckham showing his respect at the same time as Charies was meeting and greeting at Cardiff Castle amusing

I saw diane abbot on tik tok reinacting the funeral scene on live and let die. She had a glass of gin and tonic in her hand on the 16.53 Waterloo to lambeth tube.
