Exactly, the fans have no control over who hosts, its a bit rich given it was hosted in Russia that there is such an outcry now, maybe Gary should concentrate his efforts on trying to have a fairer selection system for who hosts it rather than lecturing the fans

Exactly, what's the point in sitting there talking about how awful it is but still giving all the money and status to them by playing the biggest soccer event in the world there? Why aren't these pundits protesting that decision as passionately as people like Gary Neville protested that Super league? That was stopped in its tracks rapidly because there was such a push back

It reminds me of Disney. They will say and do one thing in the West, which is fine, diversity and characters from all walks of life. Then over in China and other countries in th East they'll edit out characters, or reduce their roles because they are gay, black etc.

As always, doesn't matter how the world changes and evolves, it's always boils down to the bottom line with these kind of companies and organisations.

I will watch the World Cup, so i'd be a hypocrite if i said otherwise. But Gary Lineker is a joke. I wonder if he'll donate his huge salary earned for presenting the World Cup to gay charities in the East??

These corporation's have been very highly political for awhile now.

I'm not saying their messaging is even necessarily bad in most cases, but they're about as subtle as a brick with it.
