Saaaaake, yet another episode where basically nothing happens. The plot basically meandered at a standstill, there was no particular character development...

All this one actually achieved was the discovery of more Mithril, and the SHOCKING REVEALATION that the Southlands are now Mordor. Both of which could have fitted into last episode, at the expense of the awful stretched out dialogue.

I mean, I get the writers are trying to sound Shakespearean, and fit the dialogue to poetic rhythm, but... they suck at it

Side note, the sexy evil elf is more likeable than any of the so-called protagonists. His motivation is he wants to give "his children" a home.
Galadriel's motivation? She wants to torture him, keep him alive and taunt him with the deaths of all "his children", before finally slaying him... that's not heroic, that's evil.
And worse, that's not Galadriel. The actual Galadriel would either slay him on the spot, or imprisoned him. When Gollum was in the custody of the Wood Elves, he was treated very kindly indeed. So it might even help him to repent, and tell her things which would help...

It's over, and it still sucks

Eight episodes with so much plotless meandering, the actual story could have been told in three. Ugly elf wasn't in this one, and I can't even remember where he went the Harfoots were pointless, their story didn't connect to the main plot at all.

Even the directors were crap. Nothing felt significant, moments of padding were given as much weight as the important bits.

To save you the time:

Spoiler:

Elrond was chucked out of the mines, but he managed to get a lump of Mithril.

The Elves wanted to turn it into (after some discussion) three crowns, and then after more discussion, Rings. But there wasn't enough metal to do so.

Fake Aragorn was Sauron all along. He gave the Elven smiths some hints as how to make the Mithril stretch out - mix it with other metals. He was indeed wise and revolutionary...

Galadrial recognised some of the words the Ringsmith used to describe their power as coming from Sauron, and she... looked on Wikipedia? And learned that the bloodline had died out for the Kings of the Southlands, so he couldn't possibly be one. Cue the "big reveal".

Eminem was a member of a Cult of Sauron, and thought Meteor Man was him. He's not. The cultists then recognised him as an Istar, which means he's either Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, or one of the Blue Wizards. I'd go with the latter, as Meteor Man disappeared into the sunset, heading to Rhun, along with Fake Frodo. Rhun is Middle Earth's Asia, and in Tolkien canon, the Blue Wizards were mostly working there and Harad (Africa).

The series ended with Mount Doom flaring up ...

I've watched the first 2 episodes and so far I think it's decent.

It hasn't blown my mind away, but the worldbuilding and the mystery around who Sauron is, is interesting me personally.
