I wouldn’t begrudge her some happiness after what she has been through.

Shocking, shameless indeed.
The blonde blue Peter presenter who lost his wife to cancer had a new girlfriend within week iirc

I've never been happy with people remarrying not long after the death of their long-term partners/husbands or wives.

To me, it's like 'he's dead; she's dead -NEXT!'

Rather heartless in my view. I've been single for 10 years. Okay, I choose this lifestyle. But surely the people whose partners, wives, husbands have died, can't be that desperate to remarry or get into another relationship.

When I heard that James Whale remarried a woman one year after the death of his wife of 40 years, I just winced. No respect there whatsoever. Selfish in fact. And sort of saying that again, 'she's dead, NEXT!'

Sorry, I missed this but you're right. When he remarried another woman, he blamed it on his young son, not having 'a mother'.

Utter garbage!

Its not just the partner that grieves, its the whole family so it feels a bit selfish to go into another relationship so quickly, or at least try and keep it to yourself so you are not upsetting anyone

She was living with cancer for a good while before he died
Some people actually tell their partners that they want them to find someone when they are gone.

Her finding some sooner rather than later is better than her going into deep depression or topping herself.

Plenty people lose partners, children, parents to cancer, its not a given they will sink into depression or top themselves, any parent in that situation who is that position with young kids, and probably financially secure needs to be careful who they bring into their lives

She deserves to find happiness again.
My kids have been told numerous times over the years that when I go, they must welcome a new partner for hubby if he wants and finds one.
My sister lost her husband in her late thirties and went through hell with her kids when she found someone new.

You don’t get a guarantee with life fe or the people you meet.

It’s easy to judge but a lot harder to be judged

In my book, if there are kids involved you put them first, no matter how quickly you want to replace Daddy

Your kids have their own life now and no longer live at home so what your husband does is really not going to affect their lives apart from inheritance

When kids are very young, its understandable that replacing a partner very soon after losing them would cause angst

When my mum found out she was dying, she summoned me and said the same thing (well her exact words were I was not to be a bitch if my dad found someone else and be nice to the new lady). My dad is totally a one woman man though and he can't even think about being with anyone other than my mum...bless him

Yeah I understand what you're saying, tbh I always felt the way Jack replaced Jade Goody was pretty quick after she died ,but I always found that Jack gormless .

If you have kids in general even grown up ones ,it still affects them and the dynamic. But especially little kids.

But at the same time nobody knows what that person is going through, unless they've experienced that same/ similar grief. They may get a new partner, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're over their lost loved one .

If you genuinely loved that person, you will never get over their death , but some of them want to find new love still.

March seems like last week to me. No problem with her finding love in the future but for it to be so soon is defo distasteful.

I just don’t think your head can be in the right place so soon after such a traumatic event and I would be wary of his motives but that’s just me, lets see if they are still an item in two years
