That's true, but she does look like a stereotypical scotsman in a way..so on that note, I think its fair to say, "I wouldn't be offended if I was attending such a lavish event, and someone asked me in my kilt and sporran, what part of Scotland are you from"

I would actually be made up to bits that someone was asking me about myself and my home town.

The context is ever-so-slightly different (preying too much about a black person’s descent and asking them about it when you don’t know them has always been deeply racially-offensive, and that’s putting it really rather mildly) but it’s good that you’re a proud Scot.

You come to an event like that, dressed up like she was.

If it were me, I would be disappointed if I wasnt asked what part of Africa I'm from.

Especially all the old folk in there, who ain't to sure about how to word things. I'd have a right laugh and giggle with them about it.

I certainly wouldnt be on every radio station or podcast whatevers bleating about that being the only thing about my day out.
