Because to these business minded people, they disgustingly think theft is more serious than the crimes that we're thinking of, they'll never say it in public because it's socially not acceptable to think like that, but it's the way they really think.

Weirdly though when it comes to theft , doubt you'll see police or many investigations when it's burglary aswell , that and armed robberies should be top of the list with other serious crimes.

This country is failing so badly, why not focus on tackling physical assault , knife crime etc etc .
