This bugs me too. They are all grown ass adults who are totally capable of making their own decisions. I didn't see Ron or Jessie going around with a gun to people's heads telling them to re-couple and kiss other people.

People massively over-estimating the impact of someone giving an opinion on how an adult will actually act.
