The animals we eat are pretty much all bred specifically for that purpose for us to eat, that is their purpose for ever existing, if we didn't eat them then there would be no need to breed them, which means they would never exist

So what you really want is for the animals we eat to never exist at all. So what does it matter anyway? At least by the system we have, us humans can grow strong and live fitter and healthier lives. And likely without this system, it would be far more barbaric than what we have and we humans would become daily hunters, like other animals, because that's what our animal instincts would make us do.
