to the fortune he won in 2004 while serving life
in prison. "Hoare, 70, has gained full
access to his £7.2m fortune
after a 15-year legal dispute,"

I’m guessing it’s going to be a lot more than 7 million after 14 years of interest
I think at one stage his victim made a claim against the win

He is not the first criminal/ex criminal to have won the lottery

Unfortunately you can’t change the law to what’s morally right when it’s legally wrong

So I just read the law was changed and his victim got 50,000 compensation with him paying another 800,000 thousand in legal fees

The lady an ex teacher died last year she gave the money away to charity, hoar was the victims ex student

He bought the winning ticket while on weekend release from an open prison

Might leave a bit of a sour taste in the mouth but winning the lottery is not connected to his offence which he has done his time for

it's just jealousy in overdrive. People are jealous of ordinary lottery winners, so when a prisoner wins, it's amplified 1000 times
