[At least 78 people have been killed in a crush at a school in the Yemeni capital Sanaa during a distribution of charity for Ramadan, officials say. Video footage on social media shows chaotic scenes after the incident in the Bab-al-Yemen area of the city. Reuters news agency reports that hundreds of people crowded into the school to receive donations which amounted to about $9 (£7) per person.] ![]() Last edited by arista; 20-04-2023 at 03:34 AM. |

That's 77 more deaths than the Grand national.
Time to ban distribution of charity. |

Personally I do believe the Grand National needs more safety measures in place rather than an outright ban of the event, having smaller fences would be a good start. Back on topic though this is terrible news to hear, RIP to those that have passed.
