Bins are a terror risk, rather a bit of rubbish than people blown to smitereens

The Duke of Sussex has returned to California after catching a British Airways flight within hours of his father's Coronation service.

Prince Harry arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at around 7.30pm local time (3.30am BST) to reunite with his son Prince Archie on his birthday.

British Airways flight attendants confirmed to the PA news agency that Harry had been on the flight but said they were not permitted to discuss his trip.

The Duke, 38, had always planned a swift turnaround, his priority being to support his father during the historic ceremony.

Beyond that, he was determined to make it back to the family home in Montecito in order to kiss his son goodnight on his fourth birthday - May 6.

As they chatted ahead of the service, Jack Brooksbank, husband of Princess Eugenie, appeared to be asking Harry about his return plans.

“About quarter to four,” the Duke told him, according to lip readers.

After processing out of Westminster Abbey alongside his family, he was driven off and made a quick vehicle change before heading straight to the airport.

The Duke stayed in the UK for under 36 hours, having arrived at Heathrow on a commercial American Airlines flight from Los Angeles on Friday morning, according to reports.

Who said he wouid be home in time for lunch

I don't think Charles and Camilla can compete with that

They should have loads of historical figures ( lookalikes) wandering around the surrounding area .. interacting with tourists..

I’d rather have a quick chat with a knowledgeable Henry Vlll than see one of the actual royals tbh

The Royal Family deliberately shielded Prince Harry behind Princess Anne's hat in a calculated move, a royal commentator has told Express.co.uk.

The Duke of Sussex played a background role on Saturday as his father and stepmother were crowned King and Queen.

He arrived at Westminster Abbey behind Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, taking a seat in the third row next to Jack Brooksbank, with Prince Andrew a few seats to his right.

Anne, Princess Royal was wearing a feathered hat which looked as though it was obstructing the Duke of Sussex's view - and spared him from the gaze of eagle-eyed fans watching live on TV.

Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Express.co.uk this was a deliberate ploy.

She said: "Harry struggling to see anything looking around Princess Anne's hat, not an accident as the royals don't make missteps. They covered Harry so the cameras could not see his face."

Ms Fordwich also commented on the fact that Meghan Markle was absent from the ceremony as she stayed in California to look after son Archie on his fourth birthday, referencing royal history as she described it as a "great pity"

If it was a group of young people or protestors that left that mess behind, you’d definitely have a different opinion, as would the likes of the Daily Mail and GB ‘news’

everything is planned with military precision, they take account of what people will be wearing, camera angles etc. I don't think it would be Charles or Willie making a conscious choice, but a royal staffer would certainly have known

The old Harry would have borrowed a pair of nail scissors and cut the feather down

Even if it’s true that they planned to have Harry blocked by a feather, which I highly doubt is true in any form, do they imagine that would make them look anything other than petty and vindictive?

The amount of stories about Harry and mentions of Meghan are hilarious. The Coronation was about the KING And working Royals, not the Sussex pair. Charles wanted Harry there,he came and looked happy and relaxed sar with other non working royals. He then had no part in the rest of the proceedings as a non working Royal so left to go home and spend time with his son on his birthday. Don't know why the media keep writing stories about him when the focus of the day was the King and working Royals

Had a lovely day yesterday, family and friends round, buffet, Pims... Kids running around in home made crowns. SOOOO glad I didn't spend much time on this thread... What a depressing, dreary coronation day some of you had. Still it rained ... I'm sure it was the one thing that made some of you happy.
