I don't tan easily as I have a ginger person's skin. However, when I worked in States I was in South Carolina and it was HOT. At the time, I hammered the sun beds to get a decent base and that is the only year of my life when I did tan. Obviously this was back when everyone hammered sunbeds and didn't worry to much about the consequences

Quite often though my freckles explode in such a way that I look pretty brown (but in reality they just all join up )

I decided long ago that pale is interesting
