Vapes basically taste like sweets and there are (according to my daughter) VAST numbers starting at 11 or 12.
There were a couple of kids huddled in doorways at my school smoking at 12, sure, but it genuinely does seem like vaping is far more common with young teens than smoking ever was, for obvious reasons.
Also apparently the nicotine intake from Vapes is generally far higher than for smokers. No one really has any idea what effect that will have on kids.

And most of today’s teenagers have no interest in smoking or even drinking that much. Vapes and certain energy drinks are the new fad for them. That’s just the way it is.
