They met in a bar and their first date was my mum taking my dad grapes in hospital because he was in for surgery on his knee (because he had a reputation for falling down open manholes... I didn't believe this until my dad's friend independently said this as well so funny. Apparently he'd fallen down another open manhole and had damaged his knee in some way... what did my mum ever see in him?)
