I've seen a lot of these clips and, to be fair to the young actor, I don't think this is entirely her fault. I think the press teams at Disney have given a sort of broad instruction to the cast to distance from the original and emphasise that this is a more modern version - and unfortunately she (being only 22 and a "young seeming" 22) has misunderstood the assignment somewhat and comes across as mocking/bitter about the original. It's OK to update an intellectual property but you have to do it with respect for the original version ... or fans are just not going to respond well. But yeah... I think she thinks she's doing what she was told to do, and hasn't given it very much thought. And I think the poor girl will be going under the bus with it instead of the people who deserve to (the soulless Disney cash-grab execs).
As for the film itself ... well. None of the Disney live action remakes are good. They are unilaterally worse than the original versions. Not in a "well it's just different" sense - just plain ol' objectively worse. Plasticky, factory line poor film making for a quick $$$.
I can appreciate that the same can by and large be said for other Disney properties like the MCU - but those are at least carried by some good action sequences and sellf-referential humour. The live action Disney has none of that.
