In my very first professional job I walked into the kitchen to hear the office manager bitching about how I didn't say "Hi" to her.
I was so confused.
I asked her "when?" and it was so awkward, long pause and she told me not worry about it.

Lol. Yeah, we might not actively seek confrontation when we’re just trying to get our heads down and get on but we’re not deaf or daft. She should’ve held her hands up, took you to one side and put it into context for your understanding. However embarrassing it would’ve been for her.
