If you do want a conspiracy theory: I believe he took a sharp right turn and started engaging the "counter culture" idiots because he knew this was coming, knew his time would be up with any reasonable person, and so he set about gathering a following of the millions of gullible Covid-denying loser truthers who would simply ignore the accusations, declare them to be a grand conspiracy against him for his "alternative narrative" stance.

The worst part is that it's worked. He won't lose his current following, who either don't believe or don't care that he's a sexual predator, and in fact the exposure will probably gain him more followers from the various tinfoil hat nonce groups.

When did he slide over to the right? He never has. He just thought the Covid was a scam. Millions and millions of people thought the same. It wasn't a right wing position to think that way. You're giving the right wing far too much credit for being the ones on the side of free choice.

So basically, what it means is. so called journalists were approaching people to try to dig up some dirt on Brand because he was going against the established narrative.

They maybe got a tiny bit of feedback from a tiny majority of people they approached. But we don’t know the characters of these people. They could be conpulsive liars or attention seekers for all we know. But some of you will buy it because your overlords are on the hunt for a kill. So you want it to be true. That way you get an online victory ego boost.

The reporters were approached by some women and then approached dozens of others to ask about their experiences. Some of them had bad experiences, and because of safety in numbers, chose to speak about them.

Alternatively: "The Mainstream Media" (who, exactly?) decided that Russell Brand - who hasn't had a mainstream career for years - needed to be "targeted" (to do what, exactly?) - even though it will actually likely result in him having a bigger following than ever.

Its absolute nonsense and completely sweeps these women's experiences under the carpet, for the benefit of a bunch of sad, bored people sat at home jumping at shadows. Utterly ridiculous. Time to grow up, Alf.

Oh yes all of the dozens of people involved are compulsive liars/attention seekers and Russell Brand alone is a beacon of truth because he's been peddling Trump-truth er QAnon garbage on his YouTube channel for a while. How could they say "no he's not that sort of person"? They have no idea what other people have experienced with him? They can say "no he never did anything non-consensual to me" and that's it.
