To apply for UK asylum, you need to12:
Register your asylum application at any of the UK borders or at the Asylum Screening Unit in Croydon. Wait for the assigned officials to determine if you can be admitted or not. This may involve a screening interview and a biometric test. Receive a letter with the appointment for a new interview. This is the main interview where you will explain your reasons for seeking asylum. Wait for the decision on your asylum claim. This may take several months or years. Why don't they sort out the asylum process, if there was a clear route to the UK legally then at least that would divert some of these people to come legally
