How can United be so poor !?

I have no idea why they have Fernandes as their captain .. he goes missing from games and then starts acting petulantly.

Similarly why have Chelsea made injury nightmare James the captain when he only plays 40% of games ?

The stand in captain is Gallagher who’s still learning the game and has just had a run of games ..

Their best defender has been the Brazilian captain Thiago Silva ..

Complete madness to overlook him

Antoni with more petulance and aggression

This is the guy who’s apparently under investigation for aggressive behaviour towards his ex girlfriends

The reasoning behind not captaining Thiago is because Poch is looking to the future. Otherwise I'd agree with you.

But Chelsea have bigger problems than finding a non injury prone captain atm.

Chelsea and Utd are in the same boat. Both are just about staying afloat. It's grim.

Big fish in a small pond. No pressure, free reign. One season wonder. When it comes to the big English clubs he can't handle the heat. He was given plenty opportunities too. He never grew into the role, say like Didier Drogba.

Or maybe ask whether its the team? They have both brought numerous expensive strikers who didn't perform well which tells you they continue to buy players who don't suit the system

Ten Hag can't last much longer. He will be gone before christmas. When he is interviewed these days he seems completely out of his depth

Gary and Roy ripped united apart after yesterdays game

I’m wondering if United will go all out for Roberto De Zerbi in the coming weeks !!??

I know that both Barcelona and Real Madrid want him for the new season so United will have to go in early and offer Brighton and Roberto De Zerbi an absolute fortune !

I wouldn't mind Blues and Man Utd swapping Managers tbh.

I think that it's a fair trade considering how the players have treated Ten Hag this season.

And with Fernandes, being brutally honest he is a waste of space, he goes missing so often in games it isn't even funny.

And that's taking away from the fact that he shoots like he thinks that he is playing Rugby.

I hope that Man Utd will eventually get back on track, but at the moment it is being badly run by the owners, and the players have a terrible attitude.

Granted Ten Hag hasn't always brought in the best players, but we all know that Man Utd have had issues long before Ten Hag was there, and they probably will once he is sacked.

The first thing that Man Utd needs to fix, is for the ownership to back the Manager on who comes in, and who goes out of the club.

You've had plenty of flops up front for Liverpool over the years. It's just not that simple most of the time.

most teams have had absolute flops up front over the years, but, pretty much without exceptions, teams are at their most successful when they have natural goal scorers up front

We had flopps until we found a manager who looks for certain attributes to signing a player not who had a good season, Klopp will only recruit pacy forwards who can play anywhere within the front 3 and has certain tlnatural abilities

Mmm

They are buying starters on a regular basis

Liverpool’s last 8 or so purchases have been fabulous

Jota , Konaté , Diaz , Nunez , Gakpo , Mac Alister , Szoboszlai , Gravenberch

You can't always blame the managers for players under performing. And Chelsea have tried to recruit managers for the future, it just hasn't worked out.

Yes, now they've got it, but in the past they've signed quite a few flops. Crouch and Caroll spring to mind.

That's not the point. You started off by saying it's the managers fault people like Lukaku don't perform for big clubs in the PL.

I said they don't suit the managers playing styles, you can't get the best out of a player if they are put in a system that doesn't suit their style of play
