I’ve explained countless times that I don’t think it’s safe for women to be boxing .. we are just built differently .. there are concerns in boxing itself about the serious damage that will occur if they switch to 3 minute rounds .

If you are gonna continually castigate me for CARING about the health of your fellow women then that’s grossly unfair .




At this point I don’t know whether you are being deliberately obtuse or you are just on the wind up ..

It is not up to you whether women box or not, male boxers face just as many issues in boxing as women, if women want to box that is up to them, you cant decide women cant box due to the damage it MIGHT cause but you are happy for men to box even though their health can be damaged just as seriously ...either they both box or no one boxes...?

There’s speculation that women can’t take the effects of punches the same way ..

We are built different differently there’s no getting away from that ..


I thought I’d posted this already … so I can’t believe I’m still getting grief for showing concern for women boxers ..



"The studies are uniform - if you look at women's soccer, the concussion rates are nearly 2:1, so women playing soccer against other women produce a higher rate of concussion, per hour of participation, than men playing against men.
"We did a study where we looked at jockeys - we have lots of female jockeys, particularly in point-to-point racing. The women actually fall off less often than the men but when they hit the ground, they have nearly four times the rate of concussion. It was about 3.6:1 compared to the men and that was very interesting for us but very, very difficult to explain. It's the same right the way around the world."
