I would agree that Ch5 did CBB better - channel 4 for civilian (really no contest). Tbh I think the reason Ch5 CBB is so good is really what I said above - fun and chaotic in its own way. The irreverent chaos of Ch5 Big Brother worked really, really well for the Celebrity seasons basically because it threw such well known characters into utterly farcical situations. The civi seasons only really differed frim the contestants being too self-aware sometimes, but that's not an issue for celebs (because they're media aware by default and the fun is in seeing it start to slip).
For that reason I'll give ITV celeb BB a chance. I'm just not full of hope as I honestly think the civilian season was utter garbage and did not live up to the legacy at all.
